20 Years Fondation Beyeler
Free admission for everyone up to 25 years

SEPTEMBER 4, 2016 – JANUARY 22, 2017

Their aim was to liberate color from the compulsion to represent things, to divest line of its function of defining contour, and to free the plane surface of the illusion of objectivity.

Ernst and Hildy Beyeler were passionately involved in the arts throughout their lives. The Fondation Beyeler's main goal is to bring art and viewer together. In our guided tours and workshops, we do not only share knowledge about artists, works, and epochs. We create above all a space in which to deepen observations and exchange different views, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. Our goal is to let stories, and therefore connections, come into being between the artwork and the viewer. Especially important to the Fondation Beyeler is that children and young people find their way to such stories and connections.
