The Fondation Beyeler is situated in an English landscape park that belongs to the historic Berower Manor. The park stretches between the 18th-century Villa Berower and the museum building designed by Renzo Piano, at the edge of the Wiese Plain and adjacent to Lange Erlen. The park is quite impressive with its old trees, water lily pond, and a pavilion overlooking cornfields, grazing cows, vineyards, and the foothills of the Black Forest. The gently sloping path lends itself to a stroll past art works by Alexander Calder The Tree, Ellsworth Kelly White Curves and Thomas Schütte Hare. The park is also an ideal location for exclusive business functions and private events. The Events Department is available for information and booking requests.

The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Villa Berower, a late-Baroque building from the 18th century. The elegant architecture and the excellent location inside the expansive park create a leisurely and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offers Mediterranean cuisine made with market fresh ingredients. The rooms and terrace are also available for business and private events.

"24 Stops" – The Rehberger Path between Riehen and Weil am Rhein

The Rehberger-Weg runs approximately 5 kilometers and joins two countries, two communities, two cultural institutions – and countless stories. It runs between Riehen and Weil am Rhein, between the Fondation Beyeler and the Vitra Campus. Along the “24 Stops,” 24 milestones created by artist Tobias Fehberger (b.1966), you can explore the diverse natural and cultural landscape. The Rehberger-Weg provides the opportunity to get to know the history and stories of the area and its people while getting out into nature. Find out more about the project, the works, guided tours and directions here.

The Riehen Region

The area around the Fondation Beyeler is the perfect place to stay and explore. There are many unique and spacious historical parks in addition to Berower Park.
